Do you drop ship your products?
No, we don’t.
All of our products are made by hand in Vancouver, BC by the Kismet Design team.
While some components—like electrical cords—are sourced externally, the design, woodworking, and final assembly are all done in-house with a focus on quality and detail.
You may come across imitation products online. These are not affiliated with us and don’t reflect the standards or care behind our original Rocketlamp.
Where is Kismet Design based?
We are a Vancouver-based design studio specializing in mid-century modern and Scandinavian-inspired home décor.
What's your return policy?
We offer a 30-day return and exchange policy. Items must be returned in their original condition within 30 days of receiving it from shipping provider. Item must be returned exactly as it was packaged.
Do you have any warranty?
We offer a 1 year manufacturers warranty on our items. If any problems should occur, we will replace the problem components or items. For communication around warranty, please email ivan@bykismet.ca
Where are your products made & by whom?
All my products are made in our workshop, in Vancouver, BC - By Ivan at Kismet Design and members of FabLab. Electrical components are manufactured in china.
"I saw the same lamp for sale elsewhere, is it the same product?"
No, it’s not the same.
The Kismet Design Rocketlamp is an original design created by Ivan in 2023 and is exclusively available through our official store.
While the design has unfortunately been imitated by unlicensed manufacturers, none of these copies reflect the quality, materials, or craftsmanship that define our products.
If you come across a similar-looking lamp—especially one mass-produced overseas—it is not affiliated with us in any way.
When will I get my product?
We ship products immediately after processing the order.
This may usually takes around 2 - 7 business days.
During higher volume periods, we may require more time to process your order. We will reach out to you if this is the case.
Is your wood finish "non-toxic"
We use a special food-safe oil & wax top coat on our wood. It's called "Odies Universal Oil" and is one of the most enviromentally safe and non-toxic products on the market.
What if my lamp arrives damaged?
We take great care in packaging, but if your lamp arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours with photos, and we’ll arrange a replacement.
Do you have a physical store?
We currently operate online only. Our workshop is located off Main St. & 5th Ave. in Vancouver, Canada.
We welcome visitors to come and pick up and purchase the lamp from our workshop in-person.

Which lightbulb should I use with your lamps?
Our lamps are rated for LED lightbulbs (E26 and E27 in EU). We recommend you use a "vintage" style Edison bulb.
I live in a country with different electrical standards, can you change the plug type?
Yes. We can order and change the plug so that the lamp works in your country. please include a note with your order and let us know what kind of plug you need.
